One Of Us Is Lying
by Karen M. McManus

This was an interesting mystery book. The main characters Nate, Bronwyn, Cooper, and Addy are all different types of people who have almost nothing in common with each other. Except that they were all in the room when Simon was murdered. This suspenseful novel had many unexpected events and I loved the ending. This was a good book but it is not a five star for me because of the characters being somewhat cliché. They were very stereotypical but otherwise the book was great.

Five Survive
by Holly Jackson

This was a super intense book with many scary moments. Even if I was terrified while reading the book it had good character development and I was always interested. It was a good read and I recomend it to others.

The Unwanteds
by Lisa McMann

This is a great book for someone who loves fantasy. The world of Airtime is so mystical and fun. All the characters in the book are well developed and my personal favorite character in the story was Samheed due to his personality. Overall I would recomend reading the book series because just the first book leaves me on the edge of my seat wanting more.

The Last 8
by Laura Pohl

This was an amazing sci-fi book on 8 teenagers who were left to defend the world as everyone around them died, they lived because they were invisible to the aliens. All of the characters had to watch as their loved ones died to the aliens that had taken over the planet. The aliens weren't even after humans, they were after a highly intelligent species and there was only one of them left, Andy, who was one of the last 8. Adam had died during the book to jump in front of Andy when an alien saw her, because Andy and Violet were the only ones that the aliens could see, leaving them with only 7 survivors. Then they decided to fight back against the aliens to avenge Earth, and they succeeded with the help of Andy's alien powers. This is now one of my favorite books, and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one in the series.

Born Of Earth
by A L Knorr

This book is another book in the Born of series. It's about a girl named Georjayna who discovers she has powers that let her control the earth. She is friends with Targa and Saxony (from books 1 and 2) who all have powers of elementals, but they don't know that each other have them. When Georjayna went to Ireland on vacation so live with her aunt and adopted cousin, she found herself spending a lot of time in the garden, and she discovered she had powers. She also learned that her past relatives had this same power. Since she had these powers, she could also see bad things that were like shadows that only she could see. She confronted the shadows and fought them, releasing one of her relatives who had been trapped within the darkness of the power and let her rest in peace. This book was a good add on to the series but I wished it had been more eventful and longer like the first two books in the series.

Born Of Fire
by A. L. Knorr

Born of Fire is a book that is a part of the Born of Water series. This book is about a girl named Saxony who is friends with another girl named Targa (from book 1). Saxony went on a vacation to Italy where she learned she was a fire elemental. She got the powers from a boy named Isaia, who she was babysitting for the summer, because he was dying from the fire powers he had. Isaia gave the powers to Saxony, and then she got caught up in the most famous crime in Italy, where she almost died from burning on the inside from her new fire power. She got out of the situation and headed back home, where she got a note for training for her new fire powers, as she discovered others had this same power. This book is a great addition to the elemental series and it is even better than the first book!

Born Of Water
by A L Knorr

Born of Water is a book about a high school girl named Targa who realizes she has powers that can control the water. Her mother had always been a mermaid but had decided to live on the land and have a child named Targa. Targa could never swim of breathe under water like her mother when she was young, but when she grew older she found out that she was an elemental. She saved marine animals, and helped find sunken ships for money to help her mother. This book was a great start to the elemental series.

The Hunger Games (hunger Games, Book One)
by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games book is a story about a girl names Katniss Everdeen who lived in a dystopian government and had to go through a challenge called the Hunger Games. She faced many close-ups with death while trying to survive and finish off all the other players in the arena during the Hunger Games, whilst also keeping her friend from District 12, Peeta, alive so that she could go home to her family. Her skills and intelligence all led to her winning in the end with Peeta.

Macbeth
by William Shakespeare

Macbeth is an odd book that I really enjoyed. It's a book where three witches mess with a man named Macbeth, and make him power hungry and lose proper judgement. They gave him fantasy-like prophecies that became true, and he would sometimes take them the wrong way, leading to his death. Macbeth's wife even joined in on murdering others because of the greed between her and Macbeth to make him a king. I liked this book because of the absurd things that happened to Macbeth when he was trying to become king.

Julius Caesar
by William Shakespeare

Julius Caesar was a leader who was stabbed to death over his ambition. He became a leader who the people thought was a dictator, but he had originally turned down the crown three times. He shared his wealth with his people even after he died. I do not think that Caesar should've been killed. This book was a pretty decent read but it was pretty boring to me.
